The iTero scanner that we use in our Nottingham clinic is a digital intraoral scanner that produces extremely precise 3D colorized imaging of the teeth and gums. The pioneering technology behind these 3D scanners offers feedback with speed, ease, reliability and a wonderful level of interactivity. The iTero scanner produces high-resolution dental impressions which can be interactively evaluated by patients.
How does 3D scanning differ from other methods of obtaining dental impressions?
Alternative methods to 3D scanners that Zenith Dental in Nottingham has traditionally used to produce dental impressions have involved the use of external substances, such as dental impression putty. Whilst many find this process uncomfortable and time-consuming, the iTero intraoral scanner offers a truly comfortable and quick experience.
