    What are veneers and how do they work?

    Veneers are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front surface of your teeth. They improve the appearance of teeth that are discoloured, chipped, misaligned or worn. Each veneer is precisely crafted and shade-matched to blend with your natural smile, so the result looks natural.5

    Will my teeth be filed down?

    For porcelain veneers, a thin layer of enamel is usually prepared so the veneer sits flush and looks natural. Composite veneers often need little or no enamel removal.3 Because enamel does not grow back, this is a permanent change, and our team will explain exactly what your treatment involves before you consent.

    Do veneers hurt?

    Preparing teeth for veneers is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you should feel little to no discomfort during your appointment. Some patients notice mild, temporary sensitivity afterwards, which usually settles quickly.5 We check in with you throughout to keep you comfortable.

    How long do veneers last?

    Longevity depends on the material and how well you care for them.
